Osimhen hospitalized during game
Super Eagles’ striker Victor Osimhen was rushed to the hospital during Tuesday’s French Cup game between his team, Lille and AS Monaco.
The 20-year-old had pull the The Great Danes ahead with a well taken strike in the 19th minute, and everything seemed normal until he complained about chest pain and a baffling dizziness.
The health scare become more prominent when he couldn’t continue with the game and was substituted for Loic Remy and he was rushed to the nearest hospital for further medical observations.
However, the heightening flames of tension of the condition was doused after the game by Lille manager, Christophe Galtier, who reassured fans Osimhen isn’t in any critical condition.
“We just talked to him, he’s fine. Everything is back to normal. He experienced dizziness and pain,” Galtier told Canal +.
A relief for Lille that no long-term damage had befell their prized vanguard who spearheads their campaign for silverware this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions since joining the Ligue 1 side from Sporting Charleroi as the replacement for Nicolas Pepe.
