Carzola: Chukwueze has the capacity to be the best

Chukwueze is special, says Cazorla

The Spanish midfielder has tipped the Nigerian for greatness but warned that he had to keep working.

Santiago Carzola has heaped praises on Samuel Chukwueze describing the Nigerian as ‘a rare talent.’

Chukwueze, in his breakaway season, last campaign scored five goals in 25 league appearances and his stellar form at the club level earned him a spot in Nigeria’s 23-man list to the last AFCON.

At the AFCON, the former youth international scored his first senior goal in Nigeria’s 2-1 quarter-final win over South Africa.

Chukwueze has picked up from where he stopped last season with a goal in Villareal’s 4-4 draw with Granada over the weekend.

On the 20-year-old, Cazorla said, “Samu (Chukwueze) is a very important player in the team with the way he plays for the good of the team.

“He can create and score goals that’s a rare quality to see in a footballer of his age but he can be the best if he keeps working hard and improving in certain areas.”
