Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos joins Arsenal on loan

Dani Ceballos joins Arsenal

Arsenal complete second signing of the season, as Ceballos joins from Real Madrid

A suspected long term injury to fellow Spaniard Marco Asensio wouldn’t hamper the movement of the Real Madrid midfielder to the Emirate Stadium.

Arsenal have completed the season-long loan of Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid in a fee worth around £3m – and the club will also cover his total wage for the year.

The 22-year-old joined the Los Blancos from Real Madrid in 2017, but couldn’t secure regular playing time at the club.

The six-time cap international last season, only made 13 league starts for Real Madrid last season, appeared in a total 34 games, and scoring 3 goals.

Describing the new arrival, manager, Unai Emery said, “We’re excited to see Dani join us.

“He is a talented player with big technical ability, creativity, and precision.”

Meanwhile, the North London club have announced that Ceballos had been given the No. 8 shirt and would be available for the Emirate Cup this weekend.
