Man U, PSG battle for Lassana Diarra signature

The winter is here; not that of GOT but football lovers know is that period of the year where club sides do some salvage signings.

Unlike in the summer transfer window, most times, club sides don’t get to see the best of players available at this stage and this has led to the report that Manchester United and French giant PSG are both interested in the services of Lassana Diarra.

Dreamteamfc.com reported that the Diarra was released from his contract at Al Jazira on Christmas Eve and the duo of Man U and PSG were being touted for the services of the French midfielder.

Dreamteamfc.com reported that the fact that PSG at this point needed to comply with the financial fair play after spending so much in the summer coupled with the fact that an injury to Andrien Rabiot would leave PSG short in the defensive midfield position – as they would be left with only ageing midfielder Thiago Motta in that department.

And for Man u, they have been shot in the defensive midfield department as the likes of Michael Carrick and Maroune Fellaini have been on the sideline for the most part of the season.

On how Lassan Diarra is going to adapt, it is worthy to note that the 32-year-old has enough experience in his bags and head – as he’d represented the likes of Portsmouth, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Marseille, amongst few others in the past

In 2016, Diarra was named in the Ligue 1 Team of the season and narrowly missed out of representing France at EURO 2016 due to injury.

Donning the Real Madrid No.10, shouldn't this be considered enough experience?

Though, he is a free agent but at the same time we might be correct if we say both Man U and PSG are high on something.

But on the other hand, PSG paid over £35m for Jese’s services two summers ago and Man U even managed to pay a dime to sign Lukak…
