I’m a frustrated United fan – Scholes

The former Manchester United midfielder has described himself as a ‘frustrated fan of the club.

Paul Scholes has been highly critical of his former side – throwing jibes at the likes of Jose Mourinho, Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba, amongst others.

In an interview with ESPN, the 466 capped ex-Red Devils player did not hide his exasperation – describing himself a frustrated United fan.

“I say what I believe,” Scholes told ESPN.

“I’m not making anything up and I’m not very good at hiding how I feel. If people ask me something I’ll give my view, whether it’s right or wrong.

“I’m just a frustrated United fan, a father of a son who goes home and away watching the team.”

When the 43-year-old was asked about the quality of current crops of players at United, he responded: “… I look at the current squad of players and I don’t think there’s a lack of quality there.

“I do think they miss a couple of real class players that other top teams seem to have.”
