Well, Spotkick's Shehu Idris called it, and Everton have finally decided to act on the club's precarious position and have dismissed Ronald Koeman from his managerial.

There were high hopes and expectations from the Toffees for this season after the club spent £155m on summer transfers, but they've begun in disappointing form and have already lost five games this season.

The latest defeat, a 5-2 loss at home to Arsenal, saw them slip into the relegation zone, and the club have deemed the Dutchman as the man not to take them forward.

Koeman arrived at Everton last season from Southampton, whom he led to seventh and sixth place finishes, and he led the Scousers to seventh place last season.
