John Obi Mikel has returned to the Super Eagles squad, as coach named his 23-man list of players to face Cameroon in the crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying games in September.

Mikel’s fellow Chinese Super League player Odion Ighalo is back in the side as well, so is Victor Moses, who returns after missing the Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa in June. Mainz defender Leon Balogun also makes a return after missing the South Africa game and the previous World Cup qualifier against Algeria, while Leicester trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfried Ndidi and Ahmed Musa make cut, with the likes of Stephen Eze and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi on the standby list.

The first leg sees Cameroon make the trip to Uyo on September 1st, before they welcome the Eagles to Yaounde three days later.
