Oliseh: Iwobi key to Nigeria’s AFCON success
Nigeria needs Iwobi to operate at full potential in Egypt – Oliseh
The Super Eagles, who missed out on the last two editions of the tournament, will stage a return this year, and the erstwhile manager of the team has tipped the Arsenal midfielder to be the cog for the team in Egypt.
Sunday Oliseh believes a lively Alex Iwobi at the 2019 African Cup of Nations could be key for Super Eagles’ success at the championship.
In 28 international appearances, the Arsenal midfielder, has scored five goals and a further two assists.
Oliseh, a former Captain and coach of the team told Completesports.com, “With Iwobi playing the way he is, we would not be lacking creatively, at the AFCON, if he maintains his form,”
The 54 capped international further went on to discuss the addition of newly invited striker Paul Onuachu to the team, as he likened the FC Midtjylland player to Rashidi Yekini.
“Paul Onuachu is another good one. He brought back memories of what Yekini used to do back then.
