Ighalo joins Shanghai Shenhua from fellow Chinese side
Odion Ighalo has completed a move to Shanghai Shenhua from fellow Chinese side Changchun Yatai.
The Super Eagles forward was earlier linked with a move back to Europe – with Barcelona one of the major teams said to be interested in his service, but early Thursday morning, Shanghai Shenhua announced the acquisition of the former Watford player.
Meanwhile, the amount involved in the deal and the duration were not stated in the tweet by Shanghai.
Ighalo, who scored a total of 36 goals in 55 appearances for Yatai will now have to work with erstwhile manager at Watford Sanches Flores.
Interestingly, Obafemi Martins a former Nigeria international played for Shanghai from 2016 up until June last year.
