Arsenal could sign two players, Emery
While the Arsenal coach was silent on names, he has predicted imminent arrivals at the club.
Unai Emery has said Arsenal could sign two players before the end of the winter transfer that ends in three days
The club is being linked to Ivan Perisic, who has submitted a transfer request at his club Inter Milan to force a move to North London, and Barca’s Denis Suarez, who also has rejected moves to Spanish sides Sevilla and Real Betis
Emery, who had earlier stated that Arsenal could only afford loan deals adduced that while it has not been easy for the club to bring in players, a lot is going on behind the scene to ensure reinforcement at the club this January.
The former PSG boss told Arsenal official website, “I know the club is doing all they can to achieve one player to help us.
“Nil or possible two. Between nil and two. If they aren’t coming to help us like we want, then we would prefer them not to come.
“Two because we are looking at different players who have the possibility to come here.”
Emery who confirmed that he would not be disappointed should the club not sign any player eventually, added that there was a slim chance of players leaving the club this Januray.
“I think there is a small possibility of letting players leave. It’s difficult to name a player who could leave,” he added.
