Mikel sets for a shock move to England

John Mikel Obi has been linked with a shock move to Middlesbrough, who sit fifth in the championship – and vying for a slot in the English top flight.
Mikel plied his trade in England with Chelsea for 10 years before joining Chinese side Tianjin Teda in 2017.
According to reports, the 31-year-old had spoken to clubs in France and Germany, but had resigned to making a move to the Championship – with a move set to be announced within the next 24 hours.
The Nigerian enjoyed a hugely successful career at Stamford Bridge, winning the Champions League, Premier League FA Cup and League Cup.
