Ahmed Musa performs brilliantly for Leceister Reserves

Super Eagles of Nigeria’s vice-captain, Ahmed Musa shun beautifully and raked up two assists for Leceister City U23  as they rolled over Chelsea U23 in their Premier League 2 match on a rainy Friday night at Holme Parks

The out-of-favour attacker, in the 25th minute, used his blitzing speed to steal a sluggish pass around the halfway point before dashing down straight at the goalkeeper but opted to pass to George Thomas, who swept the ball home for the East Midland club’s first goal of the game.

The glaze was added to the ceramic in the 75th minute, when Ahmed Musa intelligently knocked the ball down for Thomas after another team-mate had done a fine mazy run down the left hand side of the pitch. Thomas then nudged it sideways a little bit for convenience before latching it elegantly into the right hand corner of the net as he wheeled away jubilating his second goal of the game.

Ahmed Musa was closed to a switch  down to championship side Hull City during the just shut transfer window  and he is yet to feature for Craig  Shakespeare’s Leicester City this season.
